formatISO

public static java.lang.String formatISO(java.util.Date date)

Formats a date in ISO format, i.e. yyyy-mm-dd. The method is synchronized because DateFormat instances are not threadsafe.

Parameters:

date - The date to be formatted

Returns:

the Date, formatted in ISO format

getISODateFormatInstance

public static ISODateFormat getISODateFormatInstance()

Gets The ISO DateFormat instance

Returns:

The ISO DateFormat instance

parseISO

public static java.util.Date parseISO(java.lang.String date)

Gets a Date object with the value represented by string. The method is synchronized because DateFormat instances are not threadsafe.

Parameters:

date - The string representing a date to be parsed

Returns:

the input date value as a Date object
